Day Four

Bonner Point, ID

Today was the most scenic of the drives so far. It was all mountian lakes in Western Montana and northern Idaho. I didn't take many photos because the roads were cut right next to the lakes and forests.

I was extremely jelous of the locals out fishing or recrating on their boats. It would have been a perfect day if it wasn't for the 100+ degree heat and the fact that I only got an hour or two of sleep. This was definately the reason why I will return for an extended vacation to the mountains.

Flies - should have let me know you were going... the first 1/2 of your trip is almost identical to what we did last fall. I'd have recommended going through glacier, in MT, rather than the southern route. The rest looks great, however....

Ok, now that I read the rest of your posts... and see that Canada is out, I highly recommend coming back through glacier. The going to the sun road is open... http://www.nps.gov/glac/
